Healing, Parenting & Opening for Healthy Love After Separation
How to heal, feel better & flourish while parenting after the end of a relationship.
Healing and parenting after separation is not a straight path. It asks you to tend to your own pain while still showing up as a steady presence for your child — often without clarity, support, or a roadmap.
My daughter was three when I decided to leave my marriage. At the time, I didn’t have language for what I was experiencing. I only knew that something felt unsafe in my body, in my nervous system, and in the emotional environment my daughter was growing up in. Although it took me nearly a year to move out, and I tried to hold the relationship together through therapy, I didn’t anticipate the emotional impact the separation would have on my child — even though she had witnessed moments of shame, emotional harm, and instability.
If I could go back, I wouldn’t change the decision. What I wish I had was the knowledge I have now — not to do things perfectly, but to reduce the emotional weight my daughter carried during that time. That absence of guidance is why this resource library exists.
This space is here to support you through separation, co-parenting challenges, emotional recovery, and rebuilding stability. You’ll find reflections, tools, and guidance designed to help you understand what’s happening in your body and relationships — and how to respond with more clarity, steadiness, and care for both yourself and your child.
